Spiritual Conversations in the Epics

Mahabharata contains not just the Bhagavadgita, but dozens of “Gitas” – dialogues on spiritual matters between various individuals, most of which are hardly talked of today. In the 13th episode of the "Unturned Pages" series, we continue our exploration of such episodes from the previous month. These forgotten chapters of the epic provide invaluable insights into both spiritual and social developments of those times.

In the next episode, we will begin by exploring Yajnyavalkya and his teachings. Yajnyavalkya, the rebel seer who founded the Shukla-Yajurveda branch, and authored the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad, briefly appears in the Mahabharata imparting some spiritual instructions to King Janaka. Let's see what he had to say!
